CAIRNE is a proud partner of the EU funded project NoLeFa. This pilot project for Union Testing Facilities in AI aims to enable the adoption of safe and trustworthy AI across the EU. NoLeFa will establish infrastructures for testing, standardisation support, and collaboration to ensure compliance with the EU AI Act while minimising burdens on innovators, especially SMEs.
Key Focus Areas include:
- AI Act Analysis and Standards
- Analysing the AI Act’s obligations and translating its principles into technical specifications.
- Providing personalised guidance for AI experts navigating the AI standardisation landscape.
- R&D and Testing Services
- Developing a suite of tools for consistent and reproducible compliance testing.
- Offering an integrated framework to streamline systematic AI testing.
- Coordination, Advice, and Training
- Facilitating communication and coordination among market surveillance authorities across Europe.
- Delivering technical advice and training to national authorities, the European Commission AI Office, and the European AI Board.
The NoLeFa project represents a significant step forward in creating a secure, innovative, and harmonised AI ecosystem in the EU.
