28th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2025)

The 28th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence will take place from October 25-30, 2025 in Bologna, Italy.

Bologna, home to the world’s oldest university, founded in 1088, is today ranked among the most influential academic institutions in Europe. The city’s rich medieval heritage is complemented by a thriving scientific environment, where research on AI is conducted in close collaboration with public bodies, such as the CINECA Consortium—home to Italy’s largest computing centre for Big Data—and the European Center for Weather Forecasting, as well as with private initiatives. The region boasts the highest number of startup companies per inhabitant in Italy, fostering a dynamic innovation ecosystem.

Researchers in Bologna are already leveraging AI to address a wide range of sustainability-related challenges. The researchers firmly believe that AI will play a pivotal role in understanding sustainability in a holistic manner, enabling us to better comprehend the complexities of our planet, ecosystems, and societies.

The conference will be supported by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) and the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA).

We look forward to this amazing opportunity, where we can exchange ideas and insights on AI, share knowledge, and enjoy some unforgettable moments together.
