13.03.26 | CAIRNE × NORA Webinar
Time and place: – Online
NORA is a member of CAIRNE – the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe. Want to know more about the opportunities for collaboration in Europe? Join us for a conversation with the CAIRNE founders on March 13!
Eight years ago, Europe saw the emergence of coordinated AI initiatives aimed at strengthening its research base and strategic autonomy. CAIRNE (founded in 2018 as CLAIRE) was established to support the AI community and ensure that the European AI community would be heard as a joint, independent voice. From the beginning, CAIRNE has argued Europe’s need for a competitive and sovereign AI capacity. With more than 4,000 individual supporters and 500 AI labs, institutes, and research groups as members, CAIRNE is now one of the largest networks of AI scientists in the world.
At the same time, national organisations such as NORA anchor this effort at the country level. NORA connects universities, research institutes, and industry partners across Norway to strengthen national AI research, foster collaboration, and support participation in European initiatives. Together, NORA and Europe’s national organisations form a strong European AI ecosystem.
This webinar offers a window into how CAIRNE, NORA and other European organisations are working together, and how researchers can connect through their national organisations and CAIRNE to a broad European network of AI researchers and institutions.
