AI Standardisation is increasing in importance as it is essential for effective transfer of research results into applications and to ensure that regulation is in line with the realities of AI research and innovation, but requires significantly more long term funding and sustained engagement from researchers and companies.
In order to do this, we need to create mechanisms where maximum contributions can be done with minimum efforts.

 

The CLAIRE Special Interest Group on Standardisation aims to:

  • Facilitate research in European and international AI standardisation activities
  • Provide expert input from the European AI community to the standardisation process
  • Democratise the standardisation process by providing easy access to standardisation events to small and medium research labs and industrial partners
  • Identify relevant standards for the AI community to engage in and bring together parts of the AI community interested in particular standards
